SUCCUMBED AND THE
SURVIVING!
Psalms 107:20 He sent forth HIS
WORD AND HEALED THEM
Losing our loved ones, despite medical
interventions, prayerful intercessions,
faithful declarations does hurt us. We
are devastated, crushed and confused.
The accumulated spiritual
knowledge counsels to us that the deceased has only gone to be with the Lord, promoted to Glory. Surely, we don't cry or lament when our
children get promoted to the next class or if there is any progression in our
career. These call for celebration not condolence. But when it comes to death, can it be so easy, so simple, so
straightforward a thing to accept the reality.
Jesus was not oblivious, but aware
of what he was going to do at the sepulchre of Lazarus. He was going to raise him up. But the Bible also says that 'He wept'. As Lord and Saviour, Jesus was going to
something remarkable. But as human, he felt the pain, agony, distress and sorrow
of what a death of loved one could so.
Jesus questioned their faith, but joined in their grief.
Are you mourning the loss of your
loved one? Maybe your friend, your
cousin, your fellow believer, your distant relative is going through his
path. I know it is going to be a
difficult journey. There are some who
have lost not just one, but more than one in a matter of few days. And now the fear of losing the survivors does
not even give them the liberty to mourn.
We are weak.
No human words can console or
strengthen the bereaved The loneliness (of
separation) may linger for days and even months. Only the Word of God or Word from God can
heal them, make them whole.
Prayerfully, through this blog, I would like to send forth thoughts, words and truths which the Spirit of God has burdened in my heart. In the next few days, we look at *FIVE MAJOR TRUTHS* which we must (strongly) hold on to in these times of trial.
THESE ARE WORDS OF GOD AND MY INTENT AND PRAYER IS THAT YOU BE STRENGHTENED
STRENGTHENED TO STRENGTHEN OTHERS!
Tomorrow…
