Doctor's prescription

Mal_4:2  But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

Recently I came across a statistic that the positivity rate of this infection is around 25: Atelast 1/4 of those getting tested are found positive!  How about those who are not getting tested but sick? How about those who are asymptomatic and not getting tested?  This time around, with the infection spreading in leaps and bounds, whichever direction we turn, we come across individuals, families who are either having symptoms or have been tested positive.    This may sound threatening, but this is the fact, this is the reality that we are facing today.

The moment one begins to feel symptoms the next immediate reaction is either panic, when one feels that he or she should get tested.  Another kind of reaction, with all the knowledge whatsapped around us, is to try out all home remedies, known remedies - siddha, ayurveda, homepoathy, allopathy.   Take steam, drink kashayams, do this, do that ……so many prescriptions, so many propositions!  They are all good, no doubt. Unfortunately, at times, certain solutions may not work for certain people.   Eg., those having comorbidities may require a different drug than the ones who do not.   There lies plethora of solutions, humungous amount of prescriptions.  But still this infection is taking lives!  Why we still do not have fool-proof solution for this?

A Doctor's prescription may change from time to time.   A phycian's prescription may not even work all the time.  But there is one solution which works at all times to all men.  A  fool-proof prescription handed down to us by the Divine Doctor.  A sure-shot therapy taken from the Holy Bible.

This medication you need to follow not 3 times a day…but all the 24 hours of the day! What are they:

1.Praising Lips  : Are you sick, are you feeling ill, just begin go Praise the Lord, Sing unto the Lord. Remember, Paul and Silas, in intense pain chose not to lament, but to sing.  That praise delivered all the prisonsers! (Psalm 34:1)

2.Positive confession : Maybe you are tested positive for Covid 19. So what?  Does that give you any reason to fear, worry, panic and even think of your death.  What matters is that you should be tested positive for faith.  Make positive faith declations (Psalm 23)

3.Patient attitude:  The next big reaction that dawns on somone who falls sick, is panic.   We get annoyed, irritated, frustrated because our normal lives are disturbed.  We want this sickness to go in a jiffy.   Be not a patient, Be patient (Romans 12:12)

4.Probe inside:   Sickness or illness is not a time to ask God why?  It is time to look inward.  It is not the time to ask why not others?  It is time to search our heart and get reconciled.  When King David when through a path of torment, he sought Lord's help to cleanse him. (Psalms 139:23)

5.Peruse God's word:   The fifth and the most important prescription is to read, meditate, contemplate, examine God's word.  Sickness usually brings in a feeling of darkness, despair and despondency.  But only the Word of God can bring in Light (Psalms 119:130)
