FIVE PRINCIPLES
Joh_3:15 That whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have eternal life.
I do believe that we are mature enough to understand and accept the
fact that human life on earth comes with an expiry date. The generation of our grandparents,
greatgrandparents has passed away. They were born, they lived and they
died. One generation goes and another
generation comes. One person dies, another person comes (or born). The
Bible says that it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this judgement.
(Heb 9:27)
However, when the lives of our loved ones are
consumed by this infection, when the young breadwinners lose their battle, when
the young moms depart leave their kids, our hearts find it difficult to accept
the same. Death may be inevitable. But
why so soon? Why this way? Why would a
loving God allow a life to be lost, when the family is still young? Why should the innings of a mighty servant of
God be curtailed? The questions
galore. Truly it is depressing,
devastating, disappointing. However
hard one may find, you may not be able to find the right and apt answer for all
the questions. Who can question the
mind of the author? Accepting a calamity
may be hard, it may even take days, months, years to get reconciled with this
fact. But acknowledging the goodness,
trustworthiness, faithfulness of God, even when we do not see the full picture,
is something that we ought not to lose.
We may not be able to stop somebody from dying. But we must never lose the focus and faith
that we have on HIM who holdas our life!
Now, those
who are alive and well (including the recovered)
instead of wondering as to what is going to happen should contemplate the following TRUTH
FACTORS every moment of their life.
(1) *Praise and thank God* for adding another hour, another day,
another week in your life. Be grateful for what you have, stop grumbling for
what you have not.
(2) Understand that your life has been spared/extended by God not
without a reason. *Know your purpose*.
(3) Accept the fact that *our days are numbered* and we may hit the
endline when our time (according to God) comes to an end.
(4) Determine to be a blessing, to be a contributor, to be a helper to
those around you. It is not how long
you live, *it is HOW you live that matters* in the end.
(5) The goal and target of a believer is not to prolong his days on
earth, but to get *promoted to a better, glorious and everlasting life*
promised by God. Work towards that
destination.
(We live..)
