Noisy three…
In God's microphone series, we looked at
two things. We established two truths. One is that God is still speaking. Second is that man can hear, if he chooses
to, if he bends his mind to hear.
In our journey, we stopped at the story of
a great man, someone seasoned in hearing the voice of God and thundering his mind
to people. But depression had driven
him into a cave….we paused there. We
asked did God speak to him in the cave?
Elijah, a true servant, despite all the accolades had gone into a
state of disappointment, despondency,
depression and disillusionment. What happened with Elijah can happen to us
also? The lesson is not that it should
happen. The moral is not that we can also
find a cave to quarantine ourselves when struck by the virus of
self-pity. No, not so.
God came following to the place where he
was hiding. A cave. God comes following, regardless of our caves.
But the significant takes places only now….The Lord said I will pass by you..
Great
wind …
Great
earthquake …
Great
fire…..
In one way or another, all these invite our
attention. They demand our hearing, our
focus. There is a great sound in all the three. God was not in
all the three….Do you know why? Share
your views.
