When
you shall hear of…(God's Megaphone 2)
The
mystical doctors of the world prescribe, as a remedy, a state of shutting down your mind, a sort of going into
a trance, a state of meditation to refresh your minds, rejuvenate your thoughts
and revive your souls, when faced with problems, when troubled by storms, when
battered with bad news. So, there seems
to a mental solution for a physical ailment. So it seems! Can we actually keep the virus away through
our meditation techniques?
Yesterday,
I hinted at number of terminologies, some new and some old, doing rounds in the
media, after the onset of Corona. I
would like to add one more: Immunity. Yes, the Government is asking its people to
boost and build physical immunity to remain forearmed to fight the infection.
Many a medicine including herbal drinks, medical concoctions are being promoted. These immunity boosters, in whatever quantity
we take, still can't make a person fully immune to this novel virus. Do you
think it can?
Meditation
and Medicinal Mixture. They help. Maybe to some extent. But we are looking at a
fool proof, large scale, global and tenable remedy for the malady. Isnt' it?
Our
ears are ever filled, nowadays with medications, meditations, mediactions ( a
new word of media reactions). These are
really and truly leading us nowhere.
Talking
about the end-times Jesus began his
prophecy by saying, "And when ye
shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be not troubled…" (Mark 13:7) What was he conveying here?
Generally
we use the word rumour to denote a
false information or a false news. Was
Jesus talking about rumours-false news, which we so often hear these days?
Another
translation phrases the word rumour as report. A
report is a news. The Greek word for
rumour is akoe. The dictionary meaning, surprisingly is
HEARING!
Who
is reporting to us nowadays? What kind of report are we hearing?
Jesus
spoke of a time when we shall not only hear of wars, but news-reports of wars….
A
leader said, we are waging a war against a corona. Now alternate the word war with virus!
Media
reports could cause trouble. 2000 years
ago Jesus spoke of something which we are witnessing right in front of our
eyes…
